Authors and Authors responsibilities

- Any fees or charges that are required for manuscript processing and/or publishing
materials in the journal shall be clearly stated in a place before authors begin
preparing their manuscript for submission.
- Authors are obliged to participate in peer review process.
- All authors have significantly contributed to the research.
- All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.
- List of references, financial support.
- Forbidden to publish same research in more than one journal.

Peer-review process

The History Proceedings journal maintains high standards of peer review at the same
time as increasing the efficiency of the process.All academic articles published in the
History Proceedings journal undergo full peer review, according to the following
characteristics:
- All research articles are reviewed by two suitably qualified experts;
- All publication decisions are made by the journals’ Editors-in-Chief;
- Members of the international Editorial Boards will provide insight, advice and
guidance to the Editors-in-Chief to assist decision making on specific
submissions;
- Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants provide the administrative support
that allows History Proceedings to maintain the integrity of peer review;
- The History Proceedings journal additionally benefit through the manuscript
referral process from the high quality peer review conducted by established
journals;

Peer review of referred papers:

Editors of the History Proceedings journal will decide whether to accept, reject, or
request revisions of referred papers based on the reviews and editorial insight of the
supporting journals. Authors will be advised when/if Editors decide further review is
needed.

Peer review of novel submissions:

Articles submitted directly to the History Proceedings journal will be fully peer
reviewed by two suitable experts in the field selected by the Editor-in-Chief. The
Editor-in-Chief or a designated member of the Editorial Board will then decide
whether to accept, reject or request revisions based on the reviews and comments
received.
Editors will decide whether each submission reports well-conducted research with
conclusions supported by the data presented in the paper. Assessments of priority
will not be a factor in decision-making, but all papers must make an incremental or
novel addition to the literature.

Publication ethics

- Peer review process as well as detailed reading by editors helps to identify and
prevent any misconduct in papers. The editorial board discouragesany academic
misconduct through following up with ethic rules pertinent to the academic work.
- The editorial board and the journal’s publisher will respond to allegations of
academic misconduct through further examination of an article and in case of need
will remove the piece from the publishing process.
- The guidelines of the journal presuppose retracting or correcting articles if
necessary. Moreover, publishers and editors can also also publish corrections,
clarifications, retractions and apologies if necessary.

Copyright and Access

- Copyright and licensing information shall be clearly described on the journal’s Web
site.
- The way(s) in which the journal and individual articles are available to readers and
whether there are associated subscriptions, or pay-per-view fees should be stated.

Archiving

- In case of emergency, the journal has an electronic backup: all articles are
preserved in the electronic version
http://historyproceedings.tsu.ge/index.php/History/about). All electronic versions are
also preserved in various independent electronic devices in the Institute of Georgian
History. Moreover, there are also hardcopy versions published and preserved in the
libraries across Georgia and elsewhere across the world. preservation of access to
the journal content in the event a journal is no longer published shall be clearly
indicated.

Publishing schedule

- The journal publishes once per year in December. Once per two years, the journal
publishes a special issue on a specific topic related to the history, culture,
archaeology of Georgia.
