Author Guidelines
Article Submission Guidelines:
- Language of article – Georgian, English, French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish.
- Abstract in English for non-English articles
Editor’s parameters for Windows Word
- Page size – A4
- Margins – top, bottom – 2 cm.; right, left – 2,5 cm.
- Title of article – AcadNusx and Times New Roman (Bold, font size – 13)
- Name of author – AcadNusx and Times New Roman (Bold, font size – 13)
- Text font – AcadNusx and Times New Roman. For English abstract – Times New Roman
- Font size – 11
- Line space – 1,15
- Articles must be submitted both in printed and electronic version
Reference rules:
Author’s notes and references must be at the bottom of respective page and be numbered in unified numeration. Reference font size – 9.
Sources and academic literature referencing rules:
1. Source: Title, publisher (in full), place of publishing, date of publishing and page number. Words must be separated by dots whereas page – by comma.
Example: Histories and Eulogies of Sovereigns. Life of Kartli. Text Established According to All Major Manuscripts by Simon Kaukhchishvili. Vol. II. Tbilisi. 1959, p. 33.
Repeated mentioning: Histories and Eulogies of Sovereigns, p. 34.
2. Literature: a) Author’s first name initial, surname, title of the book, place of publishing, date of publishing and page number. Words must be separated by dots whereas page – by comma.
Example: M. Bakhtadze. History of Jakeli Family in 11th-15th cc. (in Georg.). Tbilisi. 2008, p. 70.
Repeated mentioning: M. Bakhtadze. History of Jakeli Family in 11th-15th cc., p.71.
b) If the article was published in a journal or collected works, first comes author’s first name initial, name of author, title of the article, title of the journal or collected works. Journal or collected works title in inverted commas, publishing number, place of publishing, date of publishing, page. Words must be separated by dots whereas page – by comma.

c) If a book or article has several authors, referencing must be made in the same manner.
d) In case of referencing a foreign-language book in a Georgian article, it will be made in an original language and in the same manner when referencing a Georgian book: author’s first name initial, surname, title of the book, place of publishing, date of publishing and page number. Words must be separated by dots whereas page – by comma.

In case of repeated referencing: C. Toumanoff. Studies in Christian Caucasian History, p. 430.
e) If an article was published in conference, symposium or academic congress works first comes author’s name initial, surname, title of the article, conference, symposium or academic congress name, proceedings’ place of publishing, proceedings’ year of publishing and page number. Words must be separated by dots whereas page – by comma.
Example: V. Imnaishvili. Regarding Some Questions on the Use of Hyphen (in Georg.). Shalva Nutsubidze – 120. Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Humanities Scholarly Conference. II. Tbilisi. 2008, p. 98.

3. Referencing of an encyclopedia or dictionary: name of the editor, name of the author(s) in the same manner as is given above in the second paragraph.
4. Referencing of archival documents: Full title of the archive, its abbreviation in inverted commas (in case of repeated mentioning only abbreviation), fund (F. in abbreviation), number, description number, case number, page number. Words must be separated by dots.
Example: Central Historical Archive of Georgia (CHAG). Fund N416. Description N4. Case N1032. p. 1-4.
